All CFU members are invited to attend a consultation meeting in the Blues Bar at 7.30pm on Monday (October 21st 2013) for a presentation and discussion of the recently produced report with recommendations for changes to the organisation and structure of the CFU and Chester Football Club.
The 2012 CFU AGM agreed to set-up a Working Group to look at the Organisation and Structure of the Club with the principle aim of ensuring we had the most efficient and effective structure for our needs and to meet our main objective of being a financially viable supporter-owned Club playing at the highest possible level of the English pyramid.
A number of CFU member volunteers came forward to sit on the Working Group and we have been helped in our work by James Mathie, a Development Manager from Supporters Direct. James will also be present at next mondays meeting
The Working Groups report has been presented to and discussed by the Board and the recommendations have been agreed by them.
The Board now wants to put a Motion to the 2013 AGM seeking the full support and agreement of CFU members for the recommendations to allow them to be put into practice.
City Fans United members will have received a copy of the report by post or an email link to the document. The Working Group are keen that before the AGM, members are able to learn more about the background behind our proposals and to get answers to any questions you might have.
