Nominations have now closed for the election of board members at this year’s AGM. By 12 noon yesterday, 10 nominations had been received from candidates which is a terrific response.
I would like to thank all candidates for the time they have taken to prepare and submit their nominations.
With only five spaces available at this year’s election, the responsibility to elect those board members now falls on the CFU members. To help you make your choices, the candidate manifestos can be downloaded from the link at the bottom of this article. Your ballot papers will be mailed to you this weekend and should arrive early to middle of next week. Membership cards will also be included with this mailout with the exception of those members who have renewed only recently.
The results of the election will be announced at the AGM which will be held in the Blues Bar on 29th November.
Help Required with Mailout
The AGM mailout is one of our biggest and most crucial mailouts of the year. We are looking for volunteers to help prepare this mailout on Sunday at 12 noon in the Blues Bar. If you are able to spare a few hours to assist we would be delighted to see you. You can, of course, just turn up on the day but to get a rough idea of numbers it would be helpful if you can let Carol Bennett know on 01244 371376. Refreshments will be provided.
Over to You
As I mentioned in my mailout to members in October, the candidates elected this year join the board as we enter a crucial period in our development as a fan-owned club, laying the firm foundations for successful growth. Members have the unenviable task now of ensuring that the right people are in place to drive the club forward. So please do set aside some time over the next few weeks to carefully consider the manifestos below.
