City Fans United are raising funds to help Matty Williams with his recovery from the serious knee injury he sustained back in September.
The football club continues to support Matty during an immensely difficult period, and as the owners, we are asking fans to help us repay Matty for the outstanding contribution he has made as a player.
Our goal is to raise £10,000 for Matty, which will include a contribution to his medical costs, rehabilitation process, and helping covering his loss of earnings from his job away from the club.
The PFA is covering a percentage of the costs of the operation Matty requires, so the quicker we can raise funds, the sooner Matty can start his recovery and focus on getting back to what he does best.
Since arriving at the Deva Stadium in June 2021, Matty has established himself as a hugely popular figure both on and off the pitch. In his maiden campaign he played 35 times, scored five goals and was named CFU Player of the Season for 2021/22, and to date Willo has made a total of 130 appearances for the club.
If you are able to, any donation to this fundraiser would be hugely appreciated and will make a big, big difference for Matty. Thank you.
