Paul Baker has advised that he wishes to withdraw from this year’s election to the board.

Ballot papers and manifesto statements had already been printed ahead of us receiving this information, which was advised yesterday and confirmed formally this evening.

Having spoken with the independent ajudicator earlier this evening, we have agreed to use the existing ballot papers and simply ignore any marks made against Paul Baker’s name on the form.  Members are therefore advised not to vote for Paul on the ballot paper.

The news was received before the covering letter went to print and similar advice has therefore been included in the covering letter which will be sent to all members early next week with their ballot papers.
