On Easter Monday, City Fans United volunteers headed to the New Bucks Head Stadium, home of AFC Telford, for their home match against Gloucester City, after the hosts gave the go ahead for CFU to have a bucket collection to raise money for the war chest, that is building up with every passing day to help give Chester Football Club the best possible start.
Following hot on the footsteps of the successful collection at AFC Wimbledon last week by the Chester City Exiles, this week was equally as successful, as Chester fans led by CFU Fundraising Committee member Ed Jones, helped raise a total of £626.31 at the game.
Lifelong Chester fan Jones said, “Supporters of both AFC Telford & Gloucester City were a credit to their respective clubs”, and City Fans United would also like to express its thanks to both clubs for the generosity displayed by both officials and supporters, and would like to extend its thanks to the Chester fans who helped raise the money on the day.
Details of further bucket collections will be announced here on www.cityfansunited.com and if you would like to help us with our collections, then please e-mail info@cityfansunited.com and we will contact you regarding availability for future events.
