CFU secure the Deva Stadium for Chester FC
City Fans United are delighted to announce that following meetings with representatives of Cheshire West & Chester Council, the lease to the Deva Stadium, will now be assigned to City Fans United. This will enable Chester Football Club to use the ground from a date to be confirmed.
Seals Lottery results for April
City Fans United held the first ever Seals Lottery draw at their members meeting on Thursday 29th April and the winning tickets were drawn by none other than Gary Talbot, a true Chester legend and the latest addition to the Hall of Fame. (more…)
Decision on Deva Stadium bid to be announced next week
This morning, CFU committee members Chris Pilsbury, Mike Vickers, David Evans, and Jim Green, met with officials from Cheshire West and Chester Council, at the HQ Building in Chester.
In that meeting, the CFU proposal for the lease to the Deva Stadium was put forward and will now be considered by CWaC officials.
We have been advised that a final decision will be made early next week, which will be in time for our finalised application to be sent to the Football Association.
Parliamentary candidates show support for CFU in bid for the Deva
The three main party candidates for Chester today came out supporting the bid by City Fans United for the lease on the Deva Stadium, ahead of Thursday’s crunch meeting with Cheshire West and Chester council.

125 Years of Chester Football Club Celebration

Those of who witnessed the Chester Legends Night last year will know that it was one of the best social nights staged by Chester fans in decades.
Well this year, we aim to better that, by staging a special event – a celebration of 125 Years of Chester Football Club, and already on the confirmed list backing City Fans United are Blues Legends Stuart Rimmer, Graham Barrow, Milton Graham, and Paul Carden, as well as many more Chester heroes that have already confirmed for the event, and we hope many more will add their name to the growing list.
Junior Blues on display at Gigg Lane

Last Saturday, April 24th, saw City Fans United and Junior Blues members attend Gigg Lane, Bury for the FC United of Manchester youth day. Nearly 100 supporters of the new Chester Football Club, including over 30 members of the Junior Blues section, were greeted warmly and wished great luck in their quest to gain a lease for their local community stadium and to launch their community focused supporter owned football club.

Update on Lease Application
City Fans United last night received an invitation from Cheshire West & Chester Council to attend a meeting next Thursday (29th April) to review our application for the lease to the Deva Stadium.
We have been informed that an application from Fodbold Selskabet will also be considered on the same day. City Fans United maintain the upmost confidence in our detailed proposal and we believe that our vision for a fully community integrated club will ensure that Chester Football Club is something the whole city can be proud of.
