Squad Builder Small Change BoxSo far the Small Change Box initiative towards Squad Builder, has brought in £430.

If you have not yet brought your box in to the club for emptying, then perhaps the transfer window is an appropriate time. Some fans have filled boxes several times.

If you haven’t picked up a box earlier in the season, pick one up from the office asap and get saving those small (or big !) coins. Could we hit £1,000 by season end ?

Mark Howell Resignation

Chester FC can confirm that Mark Howell, Community Director, has stepped down from his post on the board with immediate effect.

Mark, who was initially elected to the board of City Fans United in December 2009 before taking a short break from the board in 2011-12 has overseen the successful development of the Youth and Junior sections, as well as playing a pivotal role in launching the Girls Development Centre, which followed on from the Chester FC Ladies team. He also played a key role in the launch of the Mini-Kickers sessions, and also had a large part to play in the development of the Club in the Community.

Chairman, Tony Durkin said, “I would like to thank Mark for all his hard work for the club at board level. I would also like to thank him for his and his coaching team’s fantastic work with the youth set-up and long may it continue.”

Mark Howell commented, “I wish my former colleagues all the best in what are very difficult times, and wish Neil Young the very best of luck in remaining focused on keeping the club in the Conference Premier.”
