Next Thursday evening (29th July), City Fans United members will be able to collect their membership cards from the Deva Stadium in a special event taking place in the Blues Bar.
Chester FC fans will also be able to collect their season tickets too on the night.
It’s the first time we’ve been able to stage an event in the Blues Bar since before the Covid-19 pandemic started, and we’re delighted to announce that there will also be a chance to meet some of the Chester FC squad as well as joint managers Bernard Morley and Anthony Johnson, who will all join us after they have finished training.
The evening kicks off at 7.30pm and fans are welcome inside the Blues Bar from 7pm.
The bar will open for drinks purchases, and we request that fans attending remain respectful of others inside the venue as far as Covid protection measures are concerned.
See you on the night!
Tomorrow night it’s your chance to tune into the City Fans United informal meeting, which will be held via Zoom at 7.30pm.
There will be brief updates from the board including the very latest from Chester FC with regards to the current situation in the National League North. We will also have Chester FC manager Anthony Johnson on the call as well, who will be there for a Q&A and to bring you an update on how the squad and management team are dealing with the current climate.
If you have a question for the board or manager, then please email this to firstname.lastname@example.org by 3pm Thursday 11th February.
We’re sure there will be plenty of questions on the same subject, and whilst we’ll be monitoring the CHAT function on the call, we would like to be able to bring you the answers to the questions received by 3pm.
This will also help reduce the amount of duplicate questions asked on the night.
Thursday night’s meeting is open to non-members too, so please join from 7pm where you will be placed into a meeting room before being admitted into the meeting close to 7.30pm.
Usual etiquette on the Zoom meeting applies, and all microphones will be muted during the meeting unless invited to un-mute.

This week’s informal City Fans United meeting initially scheduled for Thursday night will be put back by one week given the board of directors are currently working through the resolutions distributed to its member clubs by the National League.
We will be raising a number of points with the National League before we look to vote on the resolutions to consider the outcome of the 2020/21 season and would like to have full and accurate information available to inform those attending the CFU meeting which will now take place on Thursday 11th February at 7.30pm.
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding and look forward to seeing you all at the Zoom meeting next Thursday night.

On 1st August, the Super Seals Scratchcard was launched. This scheme aims to help the local community as well as Chester FC.
Grenville Millington, who brought the idea to the CFU Fundraising Working Group, announced the initiative at an Informal CFU Meeting held in the Blues Bar.
“In recent years,” he said, “fans of Chester FC have been very generous in donating large amounts to the club and I felt it was time that income was generated from other sources. Therefore we want the scratchcards to be sold across the wider community and not to our supporters.”
The cards will be distributed to local sports and social clubs for them to sell to their members. In return, they will earn a 30% commission for their club. The remaining 70% is divided between covering the costs of running the scheme and funding Chester FC. A couple of fans very kindly donated significant amounts which went towards printing the initial batch of cards.
The cards are sold for £1 with a £500 maximum prize available. Players can also win complimentary tickets to Chester FC home fixtures, Match Day programmes and meals in the Gary Talbot Lounge (all these are subject to availability). Hopefully, the winners of these prizes will enjoy the experience and return to the stadium in future.
The Fundraising Working Group are looking for agents to sell the scratchcards so, if you are involved in a sports or social club, please email Grenville Millington via firstname.lastname@example.org We would also like to see them sold in pubs.
For more information please see the Super Seals Scratchcards web page.
Next Thursday (1st August) the Chester FC Fan Engagement Working Group (FEWG) are holding their Season Ticket & CFU Membership Cards Collection Event, and we have a further update for the evening itself.
As well as being able to pick up your Season Tickets & CFU Cards, the club shop will also be open on the evening itself with a chance to get your hands on the new range of items about to be stocked.
The Child home shirts that featured in the Children’s season ticket packages will also be available for collection next Thursday night too.
Plus, we’ll also be staging the draw for the Chester FC Community Trust’s Grand Summer Raffle, for which tickets can still be purchased and handed in prior to the draw taking place in the Blues Bar.
If that wasn’t enough, then we’ll also be holding an informal CFU Update during the meeting too, where we’ll have brief updates from the board members followed by a Q&A with the management team and hopefully some players from the 2019-20 Chester FC squad.
So, come and join us next Thursday night, it will be a great event, and the Blues Bar will be open from 7.30pm on the evening, with drinks available of course.
City Fans United are delighted to announce the date for this year’s Membership Cards & Season Tickets collection night.
The event organised by the Fan Engagement Working Group (FEWG) will take place in the Blues Bar at Chester FC, on Thursday 1st August beginning at 7.30pm, and fans will be able to collect their 2019/20 season tickets and also their CFU membership card for the 2019/20 membership period, on the night.
We are also hoping to have some special guests on the night and we will confirm this in due course, but please pop a note in your diary to come down. By attending on the night you’ll also be helping ease the pressure on the ticket office on matchday.
