As members may be aware, we are currently low on numbers serving on the Main CFU Board.
Following a difficult season I would like to take the opportunity to thank all of our volunteers who have devoted many hours of time and effort to our football club.
Without doubt, we would not survive without the countless numbers of fans who help to run our club.
Obviously relegation is very disappointing but we have the opportunity to re-group and prepare to bounce back next season.
With this in mind we have set up a working party led by John Martin to look at how we organise and utilise our volunteers for the future and that group will report back to the board at the end of May.
We will be holding a volunteers event prior to the next season as a thank you to all of our volunteers, details will follow shortly.
On the positive side I am happy to report that our club will be looking to make a small profit at the end of the financial year.
Once again thanks for your continued efforts and hopefully we can look forward to a successful season.

Board statement
As previously shared with members, the current kit agreement was re-negotiated in January 2013 to reduce contracted volumes following review by the Chester FC Board. On that basis we proceeded with a kit vote earlier in the year.
We anticipated that a bespoke kit could be supplied at the reduced volume. However, the kit supplier has recently advised that a large minimum order is required for production reasons. The volumes required would significantly exceed previous sales of shirts and represents a major financial liability for the Club. Despite extensive negotiation the Board have been left with no alternative but to go for a non bespoke kit for next season.
DON’T miss out on a place at Chester FC’s end of season awards which take place next weekend – May 3rd.
This year, the event will be at a new venue the Crowne Plaza in Chester. Talk Sport presenter and Chester FC supporter Colin Murray has once again agreed to host the evening. (more…)
If anyone has lost an RBS VISA Debit Card at the ground at Saturday’s match v Wrexham then we have found this and it is secure.
If it’s yours, please contact the Club Office on Tuesday on 01244 371376 so we can make arrangements for its safe return. We will need proof of ID of course!
The recent call for help with seat cleaning and a ‘spring clean’ at the stadium was a resounding success.
Enough hard working volunteers turned up on Monday (14th April) to get the cleaning tasks finished within the day, so no further sessions are required this week.
Many thanks to all those who offered help!
Chester FC are looking for volunteers to help with seat cleaning at the Swansway Chester Stadium. The work will be carried out between Monday 14th and Thursday 17th of April.

Wrexham FC have invited other supporters organisations to participate with them in a sponsored walk to the summit of Snowdon.
Each supporters organisation is asked to put forward two fit and healthy members to represent them in the walk. Those chosen will be raising money for City Fans United. The walk will take place on sunday 29th June.
