Big Promotion Party set for Friday 20th May
City Fans United would like to officially congratulate Chester FC for their successful season culminating in promotion to the Evo-Stik Premier League yesterday.
Following Chester FC’s successful promotion winning campaign, City Fans United are to hold a Promotion Party at Chester racecourse on Friday 20th May. Sponsored by CDHT, the event will be hosted by lifelong Chester fan Jonathan Legard and will see the CFU present their Player of the Year Award at the event.
Time for the Battle to begin…Let’s Play Our Part!
So, here we are with 4 games remaining, and Chester FC top of the League having amassed 90 points in a season that has seen the Blues in their maiden season, win 27 league games, and lose on 4 of the 40 played so far.
The team have put 99 goals past their opposition in those 40 games so far, and are hopefully going to make it past the 100 mark on Saturday at Radcliffe, as we begin the first of four crucial games this season.
We are, as they say, at the business end of the campaign, and having guaranteed a play off place in that first season – an achievement which should not go un-noticed for a club rebuilt from scratch in the space of 12 weeks, are within touching distance of lifting a Championship title and promotion at the first time of asking.
Your chance to win a signed Chester FC shirt!
Last Friday, City Fans United launched the Big City Census, and so far over 300 have been completed by you the members – there is of course plenty left out there to get their completed Census back in to us, and we are delighted that we have been able to secure a signed Chester FC shirt for a prize draw that will include everyone that sends their Census in, whether by post, e-mail, or by hand!

Time for the ‘Big City Census’
Last week we mentioned that there would a launch of the ‘Big City Census’ which is the second in depth Survey for all City Fans United members to cast their eyes on, as we look to shape the future of Chester FC – well today and tomorrow will see the Census fly into your inboxes and letterboxes!
This is the chance for all City Fans United members to have their say on what has happened in the last 12 months, and what can happen in the next 12 months as we look to the future.
Can you spare a couple of hours on Thursday
City Fans United require a team of volunteers to assist with the mail out of the Big City Census tomorrow (Thursday).
Over 300 members completed last year’s survey and the results helped us understand what you wanted from your football club.
The Big City Census will be sent to every member of City Fans United in the coming weeks and we hope that everybody will take the time to give us their feedback on what has been a memorable year for Chester FC.
The mailing will take place at the Exacta Stadium from 10am until 4pm.
If you can spare some time please email your name and availability to james.green@cityfansunited.com
‘Big City Census’ on the way…
Next week sees the launch of the ‘Big City Census’ which is the second in depth Survey for all City Fans United members to cast their eyes on, as we look to shape the future of Chester FC.
One Year on…
Today is March 10th 2011.
12 months ago to the very date, Chester City Football Club ceased to exist after the club was liquidated in the High Court in London due to an unpaid tax bill of £26,000.
The future of football in the City of Chester was at great risk, the club which had entertained thousands for 125 years was now on its knees, and the Deva Stadium gates were closed.
Chester City FC was flatlined.
