Chester Football Club are inviting all members of public to an open meeting to mark the birth of the new football club on Thursday night (20th May), at the Guildhall, Watergate Street. Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start.

Amongst many things planned, CFC plan to unveil their new badge to the supporters, will initiate modern legend Daryl Clare into the City Fans United Hall of Fame, and present their plans for the future of football in the City.

As part of CFU’s push towards builiding for the new Club, CFU members will be called tonight and tomorrow night by a professional outbound call centre donated by a CFU member to be reminded of the Guildhall Meeting and asked how they might be able to help.

Chester FC response to League placing decision

Chester Football Club can confirm that they have received notice that The Leagues Committee of The FA have recommended that the reformed club be placed at Step 5 of the National League System. Step 5 is the North West Counties League Premier Division.

There were no vacancies within Step 3 or 4 to be allocated to Chester FC, this was a major contributory factor in the decision.

Chester FC CEO Steve Ashton commented “We are naturally disappointed with this decision, as we had hoped to be placed in a higher league. Regardless of this, the board remain focused and resolute in their objectives of building a successful football club for our City.“

Daryl Clare returns as Chester FC relaunch at Public Meeting

Thursday 20th May brings the re-launch of Chester Football Club with a public meeting at the Guildhall, which will include former Blues hero Daryl Clare’s first return to the City since 2004. Why is it important for Blues fans to attend and what can they expect on the night?

At this meeting, which will be the official re-launch of Chester Football Club, we will give all CFC fans – not only CFU members – a full update on the progress being made. We will be asking the community to dig deep, the football club is a not-for-profit organisation and the business plan is built on ongoing contributions from the business community and fans to grow the club. This is exactly the same as AFC Wimbledon and AFC Telford. The more the local community, both fans and businesses, put into the club the more can be invested in developing Chester FC.
