Those of who witnessed the Chester Legends Night last year will know that it was one of the best social nights staged by Chester fans in decades.

Well this year, we aim to better that, by staging a special event – a celebration of 125 Years of Chester Football Club, and already on the confirmed list backing City Fans United are Blues Legends Stuart Rimmer, Graham Barrow, Milton Graham, and Paul Carden, as well as many more Chester heroes that have already confirmed for the event, and we hope many more will add their name to the growing list.

Update on Lease Application

City Fans United last night received an invitation from Cheshire West & Chester Council to attend a meeting next Thursday (29th April) to review our application for the lease to the Deva Stadium.

We have been informed that an application from Fodbold Selskabet will also be considered on the same day. City Fans United maintain the upmost confidence in our detailed proposal and we believe that our vision for a fully community integrated club will ensure that Chester Football Club is something the whole city can be proud of.

Update on Lease Application

City Fans United would like to advise its members and Chester FC fans that a planned meeting with Cheshire West & Chester Council has been deferred to next week, following the submission of CFU’s lease application to bring Chester FC to the Deva Stadium.

We believe that this will allow CWaC sufficient time to come to a decision on the lease, and we continue to be confident that our application for the lease to the Deva Stadium will be approved within this timeframe.

A further statement will be released in due course.

New name revealed for reformation of club

After a week of voting, the time has finally arrived to announce the new name for the reformed club aiming to appear at the Deva Stadium this August…

In 1989 on this day, Graham Abel scored a stunning goal for Chester City against the mighty Wolves at Sealand Road, whilst on this day in the year 2000, Chester destroyed Mansfield Town 5-0 at the Deva Stadium.

Today though in 2010, another memory is etched into the lives of Blues fans – the day the club went back to its roots.

A week ago, fans were invited to vote on four options to come up with a name for the reformation of the club, with the four choices being Chester Football Club, City of Chester FC, Chester Rovers FC, and finally FC Chester. City Fans United opened up the voting to the whole community of Chester fans, in the area, the UK, and the rest of the world too – in fact fans in no less than 20 countries took part in the unique vote, with numbers voting totalling well over a thousand.
